I built a way to explore how Colorado's 14er routes compare: the terrain, the exposure, the steep sections, and what other climbers have experienced.
Route research, Python analysis, interactive similarity maps, and a live community comparison tool. This is where my work in data science meets the mountains I care about.

About
I'm Elliott. I like a good problem.
I'm a data scientist and builder based in Colorado. My goal is to make the world more efficient through intelligent systems: useful models, thoughtful automation, and AI agents that take work off people's plates and help solve real problems.
I earned my undergraduate degree summa cum laude at Purdue and am more than halfway through my master's at the University of Michigan, with graduation expected in spring 2027. I'm looking for a data science or applied machine learning role where I can take ownership of a problem, keep learning, and build with a good team.
The mountains are a big part of who I am. One of my hardest alpine days was Capitol Peak's Northwest Buttress: a 5.9 trad route with roughly 20 pitches up a Colorado 14er. I've also skied Mont Blanc and Chimborazo. Skiing the Seven Summits is a goal, alongside plenty of other mountain missions.
I love rock climbing, I'm working on a climbing project, and I'm excited for ski season this winter. A lot of what I love about being outdoors is sharing those moments with people. The 14er Index brings that part of my life together with the work I want to do.
